What I read...

and didn't read this week.

This week has been crummy.  We have had doctor appointments every single day this week, some an hour drive one way.

We are exhausted.

There is a lot going on for just about everyone I know - hard things, stress filled things, and I am SO thankful that today is Saturday and as such, we rest and draw nearer to God to repair and rebuild what this week tore down.

Abide in Christ by Andrew Murray.

I highly recommend this book.  It is set up for 31 chapters so you can do it as a devotional with the readings already spaced out for you...honestly it probably works better as a devotional than a straight read-through.  I just have started this and laid it down so many times, I wanted to complete it at least once, so this week I picked it up and began again (from page one).  With that said, I really, really want to go back through it as a devotional either in October or December.

Wilderlore (by Amanda Foody)

I did not pre-read this one...so I guess I will try again next week.  I have had this in my pile for a while...it looks super cute, so I really, really want to get to this one next week.

Brave by Faith by Alistair Begg.

I did not finish listening to this audio book.  One of my favorite things about this book is that I got the Audible version and it is read by the author.  I absolutely love Alistair Begg.  I am also excited about this because my girls and I are supposed to try an in-person Bible study this next week and it centers on the book of Daniel.  So, I really want to finish this book before that study begins.

So, as you can see, not a great week for reading...but so thankful we get to lay this week down and move on.
