Sunday Check-In

So, this week is all about catching up.  I hope we get back to some semblance of normal, although the lingering exhaustion seems to threaten to derail this plan.

I would like to focus on gratefulness in November...there is SO SO much I let slip by my notice each day that are such rich blessings...

1) the smell of pumpkin spice candles
2) the rich cinnamon and creamy yumminess of my morning coffee
3) the way lights twinkle and sparkle in the dark early morning hours
4) the Christmas music playing in the background
5) putting a puzzle together with one of my girls
6) snuggling Buddy
7) the smell of fresh laundry
8) the kindness of strangers - letting you go first, holding the door open, waving as you drive by...
9) watching squirrels scamper, play, and bury their acorns
10) having a neighbor plant some spring flowers for you while you are sick and cannot help them
11) having another neighbor drop by halloween treats for your girls
12) getting out Christmas decorations
13) watching your first Christmas movie of the season
14) sermons and commentaries on Romans
15) my mom feels much, much better...has even been out with friends and to church again
16) my husband working from home while we were sick
17) my reading challenge

Scripture goals : pick back up where I left off before we got sick
Hymn: choose a Christmas one to memorize and study

  1. Thank you for these beautiful thoughts. It was a good reminder to be thankful for the small things that we often overlook. I am really looking forward to the twinkling lights during this dark time of year!
