I keep a bullet journal and in my monthly review section I make a list of all of the things I really loved and am SO thankful for that month. I chose about ten or twelve topics - things such as something we watched, ate, drank, smelled...etc; One of the topics is labeled BEST: and WORST: and here I track my favorite and least favorite book for the month. This month, I already had my worst, but after getting to chapter five or six of Murder She Barked, I now have a worst, worst book. 😒
And that was my cozy mystery pick to fulfill a challenge.
*sigh*
So I decided to go in a different direction.
So without further ado, I give you my review (again) of Sense and Second-Degree Murder by Tirzah Price.
This is a book best listened to, as the narrator REALLY adds to the story. I LOVE Tirzah Price's two Jane Austen mysteries. She hits the perfect balance of faithfulness to the original story, while sprinkling in well-written, unique aspects to support her mystery. LOVED it, She has a new book coming out in June (I think?), and I cannot wait.
I had a few nights this week that I just could not get to sleep and this book came in to keep me company in the long hours of a quiet house. One night my wireless headphones died and I got up and searched the house for my old wired headphones and a connector piece just so I could keep listening. I highly recommend this book, and as this was published in April 2022, it meets the requirements of the Calendar of Crime reading challenge. 💝
